About
Hi everybody. Welcome to Glitzy Mitzi, where we NEVER settle for ORDINARY!
I have always been interested in arts and crafts from early on, and I even have a degree in Interior Decorating from Auburn University. I have a very creative son who helps me when I get stuck with my designs. He’s a great help, and I am training him well.
A lot of my designs are about dogs which I absolutely love. My needlepoint designs all started when we lost our boxer “Lucy” due to a brain tumor. Recently we lost our wonderful English Bulldog named “Roxy” who is the mascot for my company, but they will live on through my designs. We are definitely a bulldog family. Our recent addition is an adorable, but feisty French Bulldog named Zsa Zsa. She got her name from me, because everybody says I act like Zsa Zsa on the old TV show “Green Acres”.
Since my son has started college at Auburn, like his Mom and Grandfather, he has joined a fraternity. This has inspired my new designs for sororities and fraternities. I was in a sorority at Auburn, and I know from experience that everyone likes to decorate with their Greek Letters, colors, and mascots.
Another inspiration for my designs is my husband and son’s love of hunting. I started looking for masculine designs for my husbands Christmas stocking and could not find anything. That is when I started working on my “manly” men designs. My son loves anything camouflage.
My step-daughter has also caught the Etsy fever. She taught herself to crochet, which I was of no help, and has her own store- LeeLeesCrochet. I guess my creativeness has rubbed off on her.
My husband has been recovering from prostate cancer surgery and with all of our prayers we have experienced a miracle. The doctors swore that his cancer had spread, so we started praying and believing the scripture Psalm 103:3 He will forgive ALL of our sins and heal ALL of our illnesses. So far he has fooled all of the doctors with negative PSA results, but I know that we have been given a miracle. Prayer works!!!
I am dedicating my store to my family. They are my constant inspiration and encouragement. I love them all dearly, and without them I could not survive.
Most of all, I give God all the Glory.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
